As parents, entrusting our children to an educational institution is a significant commitment—one that involves not only their academic growth but also their overall well-being.

Now that we have been part of the Kohana community for the last two years, we can reaffirm that our experience has been very positive. The following points helped Kohana strengthen our trust in them.

From teachers to the Principal, everyone genuinely cares about the students’ well-being and academic growth. Their responsiveness to concerns and willingness to go the extra mile make a significant difference. We’ve appreciated how approachable and responsive the teachers are.

In Particular, the syllabus offered by the school has been upgraded to keep pace with high-performing and fast-learning kids. Regular communication, transparency, and a genuine understanding of the competence of the Kids were essential in making these changes.

The school also offers a diverse range of extra curricular activities. Our kids participate in various sports, excursions and creative workshops. These opportunities not only enhance their skills but also build friendships and a sense of belonging.Ultimately, what matters most is whether our kids enjoy themselves and look forward to going to school everyday. This speaks volumes about the positive atmosphere at Kohana.

I’m proud to be part of KOHANA Family. At KOHANA, children from diverse cultural backgrounds come together, creating a wonderful environment where they respect each other’s values. My son is thriving within this diverse community. KOHANA offers a small class size, ensuring that each student receives strong support in their learning. Additionally, there are extracurricular activities, providing opportunities to learn not only academics but also social skills. The appeal of this school is that it is open and allows students to interact with many people on a daily basis. Although there is a class homeroom teacher, each subject is taught by a specialized teacher, and because the students are divided vertically into teams for various activities, they can interact with students from other grades. In other words, there are no strangers in the school, which makes it a very homey and relaxed place where children feel at ease. What I find most wonderful is that the higher grade children are very kind to the lower grade children. This can be seen at many events, and it is very natural and pleasant. This creates a very good chain of events for the children. Although the school is small in size, there are more opportunities to come in contact with many people of various ages and positions than in a typical school in Japan, which I think is a big attraction.

Recently, new initiatives have been added, and I feel that the teachers are really thinking about events that the children will be excited about. Since the school is close to us and still new, both parents and children enjoy their school life as if they are building it up together. My daughters have since enrolled at Kohana, they have gained a sense of responsibility and confidence, and have developed respect for those around them. The academic side of the school is not easy and I feel that it is quite hard, but I am encouraged by the children’s willingness to work hard. I feel that this is due to the teachers’ ability to motivate the children.

Our experience at Kohana International School, Tsurumi campus, over the past two months has been overwhelmingly positive. From the very beginning, the welcoming environment and supportive staff made the transition smooth for my daughters, Emmanuela and Pearl. The school’s commitment to academic excellence is evident in the engaging and challenging curriculum, which has fostered a love for learning in both girls. The diverse student body and inclusive atmosphere have broadened their understanding of different cultures and perspectives, enriching their educational experience. Additionally, the variety of extracurricular activities, such as robotics for Emmanuela and ballet for Pearl, have helped them develop new skills and build confidence.

Emmanuela and Pearl have both expressed their enjoyment of the interactive lessons and the supportive community at Kohana International School. Emmanuela particularly appreciates the hands-on science experiments and the genuine care from her teachers, while Pearl loves the creative arts classes and the friendly, helpful nature of her classmates. As a parent, I have been impressed by the school’s strong sense of community and the collaborative environment fostered through regular events and meetings for parents. Overall, Kohana International School has provided an ideal place for my daughters to learn and grow, and we are grateful for the warm welcome and positive experiences we have had so far.

More than anything, my child loves to go to school everyday.

Throughout the year, Kohana International school keeps providing the students excellent and academically-advanced education.

It has been very easy for my child to keep himself motivated, having many types of opportunities, such as seasonal events, progression tests, and weekly cyclic tests.

Field trips and other special programs are very valuable too, my son could find himself filled with the irreplaceable precious experiences.

I’m very grateful to all the teachers and the Principal. They’re all professional and caring, I love how I could always reach out for help whenever I need, they always respond with full respect.
