School Examination

There are no formal examinations in Kindergarten. Assessments are application based that set the child thinking before writing answers. Rote learning is discouraged.

Assessments in the Pre-primary will be graded fortnightly and weekly in the Primary.

The grade sheet will be discussed with the parents in the regular PTM. Students’ worksheets and case history files will be a part of the assessment programs.

The overall objective of assessment is not the attainment of marks or school grades but the achievement of skills and performance level enhancement.

There would be no formal exams for Nursery, Lower kindergarten and Upper Kindergarten. Homework will be given from Pre-Primary to higher grades. Formal progression tests start from grade 1 and above.

The question of assessments will not be bookish. There would be two terminal examinations, Term I in the month of July and Term II in the month of March.

Grade VIII students may attempt checkpoint exams of CIE for which separate exam fee needs to be paid to CIE, U.K (check CIE website for further details). Grade X will take IGSCE exams of CIE, for which the exam fee should be paid separately.

This fee will be borne by the candidates. Class XI and XII will follow IBDP / AS and A Levels.
